Varsity Policy Debate (11th-12th)
Arguably one of the most intimidating extracurricular's in high school, debate is an activity where you can engage in defending or attacking both real and hypothetical policies. Some topics over the past years include, criminal reform, armament manufacturing, and Immigration. I joined my 11th grade year as a novice and moved up to varsity 3 months in. In my final year I served as the co-captain, working to break down a intrinsic barrier of intimidation for new debaters.
